Reasons I worded this way.

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Quote: "English words are those need you to continuously repeat...” -----
Equals to:
English words are those [words that] need you to continuously repeat ...
, which emphasizes the characteristic of English words, however your rephrasing, " you need to continuously repeat those English words...", I think is bland.

Quote: “The thing is, when you are in such a communication you have to dig out some long lost words and put them in use. By getting in such process your memory gets refreshed, in which English, such a language requires you to share a piece of brain and award its priority.”------
"The thing is" means "the fact is", but is more oral.
"communication“ refers to "conversation" mentioned before, I think obviously. I purposely chose 'communication' to avoid duplication.
I chose ‘such' to emphasize the specialties of interactive learning. The last 'such' again emphasizes English words that need to be continuously repeated compared to other languages, specifically Chinese.

Quote: "...., but please be noted, ...."-------
This expression is stronger than "please note", because it wants the audiences to be aware/to get to certain status.

Quote: "Whatever you put here is positive, don't mind those typos and grammars. I know everybody is bust at work, but such activities would not need much of your mind and time. As you want to improve language then you gotta invest some time. Make sense?"------
"...don't mind those typos and grammars." is encouraging all Rolians not to bother those mistakes instead of "I don't mind".
"As you want" equals to "Since you want", it was not "If" that I wanted to say.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net

  • 工作学习 / 外语学习 / What I want to say is: English words are those need you to continuously repeat in order to keep them fresh and handy in your mind. The show I and redneck has just put on was an example that when you
    • good job
    • typo: busy instead of bust
    • The show Redneck and I HAVE just put ...
      • nice catch
        • Oh, my new ID !
    • nice. more fights coming...
      • I called that flirts, not fights. LOL.
    • If the last sentence could be using "Let's rock and roll !", it would be little bit better.
      • That is not regarding grammar, but language atmosphere...
    • Oh, bro. Very positive!
Just that I really have to try hard to refrain myself from throwing out comments all over... :)

Rewrite this at least: "English words are those need you to continuously repeat in order to keep them fresh and handy in your mind. "

      Keep up the good work!
      • Would you please deliver yours?
        • Why?
          • you wrote: Rewrite this at least: "English words are those need you to continuously repeat in order to keep them fresh and handy in your mind. "
            • I can't. Thanks,
              • hhyang(换花样?)can contribute a marvelous rephrasing, as i guess from his ID hhyang in Chinese. But to our pity, he's gone.
      • I see good thing coming, yeh!
        • what about "I see silver lining." or "I see a turn for better." ?
    • Thanks a trillion for "加精"!
      • It would be better to have JYG joined, and see what he thinks about this.
        • Isn't he having his new shoe on his foot, staying hydrated and combining learning with pleasure in Euthanasia continent?
        • Let him enjoy his maiden tour to Europe first. When he returns we will see a freshly & totally recharged JYG. He may even grab the beautiful European accent then.
          • I'm afraid that he would fail to pick up the European accent cuz u know it's heavier than American.
            pun here
          • how do you know it's maiden tour?
            • Just an educated guess.
Did he not ask you that "have you ever visited Europe"?
              • You are smarter than 探长.
                • No, I am not.
                  per MikeSmith.
                  • PER shows itself up again!
              • yes he did but why do you interpret that to he has never been to Eu, while I'd read he wants to share some travel tips
                • Oh yes. Smarter people
won't make such a trip so public I assume.
                  • Wise man, you showed your wisdom!
    • You just had the moderator to delete your rude postings. Now you are talking!
      • I'm not. Go ahead.
        • Now you are talking!
    • I rarely see English in paragraphs in this forum. I can't help myself, taking the liberty to edit it. Hope you don't mind. Doesn't matter what you write, be it technical or creative, it has to be clear, logical and convincing.

==> you need to continuously repeat those English words in order to keep them.... The show Redneck and I HAVE just put on....

are actively involved in such a conversation you kinda repeatedly enhance the memory of these words in your brain.

==> ...reinforce the memory of these words. (no need for "in your brain")

This is good for seniors, but I would not talk much about that today. The thing is, when you are in such a communication you have to dig out some long lost words and put them in use. By getting in such process your memory gets refreshed, in which English, such a language requires you to share a piece of brain and award its priority.

==> This is good for seniors, but I would not talk much about that today. However, what I want to talk about is when you are in such a conversation you have to dig out some long lost words and use them. By engaging in this process, you have your memory refreshed, parts of your brain shared and its priority redistributed. (Don't change concept easily. You used "conversation" before, then stick to it. Count how many "such" you have used! It drastically reduces your persuasiveness. )

You may cry "oh my, craps all over the place!", but please be noted, when you get into it, even you put down simple words like "morning, good to know, thumbs up...", it helps bring you into a mode of interactive learning (redneck gave it an academic name, creative learning, which I have no problem with), in which, technically quick input and respond let you get response right away verifying your thinking, helping you carve words into your mind. It's just like you are talking to people.

==> ...but please note...quick inputs and responses give you instant feedbacks, which verify your thinking and help carve those words in your mind, like talking to people in real life.

Whatever you put here is positive, don't mind those typos and grammars. I know everybody is bust at work, but such activities would not need much of your mind and time. As you want to improve language then you gotta invest some time. Make sense?

==> ...is positive and I don't mind those typos...your mind and time. If you want to improve your English / language skills....

      Hope everybody becomes active. Let's go!更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
      • Good quality work.
        • I thought she wouldn't come back. It is hurtful, but she will go to next stage if she passes it. If she couldn't get over this, she will stay where she is forever.
          • I am a Mister. I visit here when I sit in the office from 9 to 5. You rarely see my replies during the night. I see another JYG here.
            • Another good example of misjudgment. Nothanks is way better if you compare the two's level of English literacy.
              • oh, let me dig out some old posts then... but I have to say JYG has changed, not like what he was years ago
                • Yes on the surface but not fundamentally.
      • Terrific. It's very nice to have your comments. Thank you for your time. I agree that your modification makes my paragraph look more clear, logical and convincing.
I did not intend to write a thesis, and by the way, I finished this piece in about 15 minutes. I imagined I was standing there talking to my audiences, so my words were oral. If I had to compose a thesis I'd come up with a very serious one.

As I said "everything you put here is positive", it helps everyone. Keep being active. You are welcome.

Again thank you, and most importantly have a nice day.

        • That is my point. You don't care grammars and typos. I only want to show you how confusing it can be with those grammar errors or wrong choices of words.

==> It sounds weird and it does not emphasize anything at all. Avoid passive tense whenever you can.

==> It is not duplication. They are two different things. If you keep doing this in a long writing, you will definitely lose your readers. I certainly don't have the patience reading such writing.

          • Point is well taken.
            by me.
          • Was my essay confusing? I believe most people got my points when they read it at the first time.
"Avoid passive tense whenever you can."
I can't agree with you. There are many ways of expressions. We don't have to stick on one style.

            "communication“ and "conversation"
With context, they refer to same thing. Why do you think keeping one word is the best? Where comes the standard?

            "but please be noted"
It is just like "please be advised/notified". It is not weird at all.

" As...Then " comes from your Chinese. People without any Chinese background understand "if...then", not "as...then".
From MY Chinese? Maybe I should remove "then", but most people DO understand "as...then".
            • Let's fuel up!
              • Yes, YOUR cyber brain only reads "if...then", not any other form. 100% agreed.

      • Welcome to the discussion! Hope to see you more on this forum.
      • 知老师这个英语很值得提高啊~~~
        • Just point out the errors / mistakes if you are able. He is better than those who are commenting in Chinese only.
    • 英文是一种需要不断重复的语言以使它流利。听、说、读、写都是重复的过程。在rolia平台上的快速应答式发帖也是很好的学习方法。看似满篇胡扯,但对身在其中的人非常有益。鼓励大家加入到这种学习模式里来,本文的大意不过如此。
      • You are brave and carefree. That's the only thing I can say after reading your topics.
        • Good. I hear you... I'm also careless :D
          • LOL. At least, you got the right point:-)
