My throat feels tight,
My eyes are about to burst, but I wont let them spill,
I wont, I can’t,
So I look up at the birds soaring high into the distance,
At the silky horizon where the sky meets the sea,
An ocean of undiscovered beauty,
A world too big for me;
A world I sometimes feel is shutting me out.
Sometimes I wish I could fly into it,
Fly into the star cloaked sky,
High Beyond the heavens,
Staring into a golden glittering sun,
A vast ocean sea,
Just to fly into it.
Brushing away sorrows onto the clouds,
Throwing broken hearts on the back of eagle’s wings.
Hurling all my worries,
My pain,
My past,
Into the depths of the sea.
Showing the word what I truly am
Showing these people I don’t need them to live,
But then suddenly they come,
Every single one of them,
The forgotten memories,
The times we smiled,
The times we laughed,
The times they remembered I was a person too.
The times I had forgotten to be thankful for.
The times I never had to feel like I was alone.
Then they begin to fly beside me,
Their lights shining in the darkness of the sky.
Swarming all around me as they begin to turn,
Collecting my anguish, my pain, my past,
Collecting broken hearts and sorrows off a passing cloud.
We fly carrying the heavy burdens beside us,
We fly together.
But as we fly further and further they slowly begin to disappear,
Each one evaporating into nothingness
And I feel it getting lighter and lighter.
Soon they are all gone, I smile,
As I look behind me one last time
At an ocean of the past.
And as I look ahead into an ocean of the future
I remember that
Although some wounds can never naturally be healed,
Love will make them fade.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
