那，谁是investment banker?
广义上来说，所有的capital markets bankers都叫自己投行家。这包括front office, (corporate finance, M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets) or mid office (equity research, bond research, risk management, credit transaction management etc) and back office, (transaction clearing departments, IT, coding, etc)
狭义上来说，只有front office bankers are the true 投行家。像corporate finance, M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets bankers are all involved in origination, structuring and syndication of debt and equity deals. These bankers acts as advisors in helping clients raising capitals in the form or equity, debt and loans.
据我所知，中国人大多数在投行的mid and back office. 很少有中国人在front office. (在下不才，是少数的front office中的一员）。
